Artist's Description

The Freemont Culture lived in what is now Dinosaur National Monument between 200-1300AD. Nobody knows why this culture disappeared, or what the meanings are behind the petroglpyhs they left. The largest of these lizards is about 6' long.

May the stars carry your sadness away,
May the flowers fill your heart with beauty,
May hope forever wipe away your tears,
And, above all, may silence make you strong.

About Melany Sarafis

Melany Sarafis

Melany Sarafis served her country for 24 years and recently retired from the USAF as a First Sergeant. I've have been an avid photographer for a few years and enjoy this "internal" creative process and I was a full time student at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Tx, pursuing a BFA in Studio Arts with an emphasis in Photography and Jewelry/Metalsmith Work. After taking an Art History course and learning a little about the Renaissance, I've become enamored with this art era. I took a trip to Florence Italy (the home of the Renaissance)...
