The stars over Caprock Canyons State Park--the prettiest night sky I've seen in any Texas state Park. This is a sculpture at the amphathater depecting history of the bison in this area, being ran off one of the cliffs in the canyon by the Indians who inhabited this area. Bison were their lifeline - food, shelter and clothing.

Melany Sarafis served her country for 24 years and recently retired from the USAF as a First Sergeant. She thinks it's really stupid when photographers refer to themselves in the 3rd person on their biographies. I needed to do something "low speed" after a successful but stressful military career.
