Description
30 second exposure, with a low ISO setting on a moonless evening about 2-hours after sunset. This is a south-facing view, shot about 8PM.
It was freezing outside, and the moon wouldn't rise for about 6 hours. 60,000 sandhill cranes were making themselves heard in the nearby playa lake where they roost at night.
Just me, the cranes and the stars alone out in the boonies on the West Texas Plains. Sorta makes one feel small.
