Description
How many times has the milky way risen over this petrified log? It was buried beneath water and soil for millions of years, and then released from it's tomb where it's sat here for millions more -- all while the stars watched.
This image was shot during my tenure as the resident artist in the "Artist in Residence" program at Petrified Forest National Park.
