Description
A restored train depot, newly relocated in Wolfforth, Tx. There is quite a history with this building.
A former P&SF depot originally from Whiteface, Tx, built in 1925 for ATSF's branchline Std. It was retired in the early 1980s, and was purchased by a local rail enthusiast who relocated it to Hurlwood, Tx.
It was put in a cool display along with an old caboose another train car in a cotton field along the highway, of all places! Many people stopped for photos and siteseeing.
The building was deteriorating in the field, until purchased by Iowa Pacific Holding in October 2011, and moved to the former station grounds in Wolfforth. The building has been restored to the original asthetic flavor of the depot, yet is also a functional base for a 21st century shortline depot.
