Description
Temple of Vesta is one of the earliest structures in the Roman Forum and represents the site of ancient cult activity as far back as 7th century BCE.
The building remained reasonably intact until the Renaissance, when the building was demolished in 1549, and the marble was re-used in various churches and papal palaces.
